"A Song of Wastelands, Forests, and Magic" (荒野と森と魔法の歌 Kouya to Mori to Mahou no Uta?) is a song sung by Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin or Kagamine Len which is composed, written and produced by Toraboruta.
Game appearances
The song first appeared in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA where Miku's version of the song was available at the start of the game. Len's version of the song can be unlocked by clearing Miku's version on Normal two times while Rin's version can be unlocked by clearing Miku's version three times. While each character's version had their respective vocals, the PV and rhythm game charts were exactly the same. All three versions of the song would later be featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater 2nd with the exact same rhythm games and PVs (albeit with updated high-definition visuals).
"A Song of Wastelands, Forests, and Magic" was also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone and was also one of the first songs in the initial version of the arcade game as with the other songs previously featured in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA game. The song is listed once but the player may toggle between all three vocal versions in the song's settings. When the arcade game was updated to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone, an Extra Extreme rhythm game chart was added on 20 August 2015.
Only Miku's version of "A Song of Wastelands, Forests, and Magic" returned in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd (and Dreamy Theater 2nd) where it can be unlocked by clearing "Change me". It featured the exact same PV it had in its predecessor. In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "A Song of Wastelands, Forests, and Magic" was included in the Future Sound song pack.
