The song was first confirmed for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade during a song recruitment period between 15 October 2009 and 31 October 2009.[1] Then after a PV submission period until 7 December 2009, Sega announced the two winning PVs to be used for the arcade game,[2] with one being used for Normal while the other was used for Hard and above. It was publicly added on 23 June 2010. When the arcade game was updated to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone, an Extra Extreme difficulty rhythm game chart for the song was added on 17 September 2014.

In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "One-Sided Love Samba" was included in the Colorful Tone song pack.
